Back on the Mississippi
Switching sides again, I decided to try and decide how to handle the "island" problem. I replaced the island with a delta more suited to the Mississippi River area. I like it. I'm getting more comfortable with shooting from the hip when it comes to this mural now, but that will also mean I have to adjust and revise colors as I work. I would like to slightly change the hills to look a little flatter as well. Then I need to work on the transition from light to dark with these hill and then they should be finished.
Coming up soon will be detailing the water, with shading and reflections, etc. That is if I stay on this side of the bump out for now. I decided to start including detail photos of the area I'm working on in these blogs. Sometimes it is hard to see the transition when you look at the whole wall in the slideshow tab. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words!
I will shortly have an entire week to devote to painting every day, and I expect to cover a lot of ground.
