Moving toward the pond
I spent this weekend tying up some loose ends (the marshy bogs on the river) and blocking in some new areas (the Sumac trees on the left) and plodding thru the many autumn trees left to detail around the pond. You all may notice I haven’t touched the deer as of yet, so it looks as though an albino doe has invaded the scene. I’m saving her as a reward for finishing everything above her first. I do love painting landscape, but I am looking forward to that deer. I’m also looking forward to the pond. I couldn’t have timed it better if I tried. Early autumn on the wall, early autumn out my window; I’ve been taking a lot of reference photos and need even more. I’ve spotted an area on Hwy. 54 toward just past the casino that seems to be a good fit for the last body of water on the mural.
